All In For Our Schools
Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools continue facing an unprecedented financial crisis. We know that strong public schools are the anchor of our entire community, and we all have a stake in solving this budget crisis.
Simply put, when our schools are underfunded, our entire community feels the impact.
That’s why we created the All In For Our Schools campaign. This campaign brings our community together to change our story.
Thanks to donors like you, we already closed the $1.4 million budget gap for classroom supplies for the 2025-2026 school year. While we are proud of and grateful for the funds the community has raised so far, there is more work to be done.
There are still remaining critical financial gaps. Join your neighbors today.
Our Impact + Remaining Needs
Together, individual donors, nonprofits, foundations, business leaders, faith organizations and community advocates are making Forsyth County schools whole.
As of March 2026, the All In For Our Schools campaign has raised more than $9 million to support our students. That is incredible – but the work is not finished.
Now, we need your help to close the remaining gaps for our students.
⭐ Our Latest Community Win
GOAL: Fill the $1.4 million gap in the classroom supply budget for this year. And continue to fund ongoing critical supply needs.
RAISED: $1.4 million to fill the gap
CURRENT STATUS: Initial funding goal met; continuing to raise essential funds
Because our community stepped up, we delivered 79 checks directly to 79 schools.
The impact: This restores the baseline supply budget for every school in the district.
What this means: Teachers and students now have the paper, ink, science kits, arts supplies and basic tools they need to finish the year strong.
Urgent Need: School Books + Essentials
GOAL: Cover nearly $1.6 million in learning essentials and critical student needs like library books and curriculum materials, as well as student health assessments and ESL translation services.
RAISED: More than $800,000 through the Student Success Fund.
CURRENT STATUS: Funds needed for Student Success Fund, Classroom Supplies Fund and Every Shelf, Every Student Book Fund.
We still need to raise hundreds of thousands from supporters like you.
Why this matters: Together, we can ensure that our students have the resources to explore and discover their full potential.
Urgent Need: Eliminate Debt + Secure Our Schools
GOAL: Erase the district’s millions in debt and ensure our district’s long-term success.
RAISED: $6m
CURRENT STATUS: Continuing to raise urgent funds to set the district up for financial success
Why this matters: Clearing this debt protects our district’s financial health and future, ensuring all current resources directly benefit students and teachers. This means students have what they need to learn, and teachers have what they need to teach.

Donate NowEducation Foundation Classroom Supplies Fund
So far, the Education Foundation Classroom Supplies Fund has successfully raised $1.4 million to address the immediate school supplies shortfall. We delivered checks directly to individual schools across the district in January 2026. This fund supports teachers by restoring their budgets for high-quality school supplies such as printer paper and ink, art supplies, science lab kits and notebooks.
Reaching our first goal was a major victory, but our work isn’t finished. Continued funding for school supplies is critical. We must keep this momentum going to ensure no teacher has to use their own money to buy the tools students need.
Thank you to everyone in the community who has donated and supported our community.
